2009 - 10 CENTRAL ZONE REFEREES CLINICS
Welcome to the 21st Century. The Central Zone has also decided to enter it. Going forward all people who decide to officiate in the Central Zone will need to register for their clinic on line. This will be true for all clinics, city & rural. You asked for it, thus you have got it.
In order to register yourself, you will need to go to our web site www.czrc.ab.ca and go to the clinics link. All the information you will need to complete the form correctly and pay your fees will be on the web site.
Highlights are:
- We have changed the criteria for attending a one day clinic. The new criteria is: have officiated and been registered the last two years thus you are going into your 3rd consecutive year of officiating and are 18 as of December 31, 2009 or you are a certified level 3 or higher.
- On line payment - you have the choice of paying on line by credit card or paying by cheque. If you choose by cheque and you are attending a Calgary clinic, you will need to bring your cheque to a material pick up date prior to your clinic. If you are attending a rural clinic and paying by cheque, you can bring it to your clinic. These are your only options.
- Supplies - some of you will need to purchase supplies (workbooks, crests, patches, armbands, rule books or case books).
Calgary clinic participants - you have a choice of picking these supplies up or having them delivered to your home. Supplies bought will not be handed out at your Calgary clinic.
Supply pick up and cheque drop off dates are Aug. 17, Sept. 8, Sept. 29, Oct. 22 - all from 7 - 9 p.m. @ Centennial Arenas.
Remember, you can avoid this by choosing to pay by credit card and by having your supplies delivered.
Rural clinic participants - you have a choice of having these supplies mailed to your home or you can pick them up at your clinic.
Please see the Clinic Fees link for the 2009-10 clinic cost breakdown.
Please ensure you read through completely the instructions on how to fill out the registration form. These instructions will be on the web site with the registration form. Note the form is still being produced. Please check the web site from time to time and be patient. It will be up by the end of the month.
For those that wish to plan ahead, please see the Clinic Schedule link for a list of the confirmed clinics and their dates.
