Transfering into this zone from another zone or province?
If you have just moved into this zone and want to continue your officiating career, here are the steps required to ensure a smooth transition:
- Contact your zone or provincial Referee in Chief (RIC) or Designate. Let them know you are leaving your current zone or province and where you are moving to.
- Your RIC will then fill out an Inter Branch Transfer Form. You should supply your RIC with your new address as well as an e-mail address, if available. Some of the things on this form will be the current level at which you are certified, plus some background on the type of hockey you have been officiating in your current province. The RIC will then forward this transfer form to the Hockey Alberta Officials' Designate.
- The Hockey Alberta Officials' Designate will then pass on the Inter Branch Transfer to the Zone Chairman for review.
- This procedure should be done prior to you actually moving so that the form has already reached your final destination before you do. Once you arrive, be proactive. Contact your Zone Chairman to ensure that all has gone well and to find out how the assigning of hockey works in the zone.
- Last but not least, Welcome to the Central Zone!!
